Sun Bin 孙膑 (died ca. 316 BC), an alleged descendant of Sun Tzu, was also a famed military strategist during the Warring State Period (475 – 221 BCE). His Art of War, Sun Bin Bing Fa (孙膑兵法) was believed to be lost after the Han Dynasty, and there were numerous references to it in the post-Han records. In April 1972, the Chinese archaeologists excavated several fragments of scrolls from a tomb in Linyi, Shandong Province. Sun Bin's Art of War was found among the scrolls.
